Stephany contacted me 4 to 5 months before the date of her wedding. She is Dutch by birth and used to come since she was a child in the South of France for Holidays. Her parents have built a holiday home here and passed on their love for Provence to Stephany.
Christopher, a native American, and Stephany live in London, and when he made his marriage proposal, there was no way they would consider organizing the wedding there. Stephany therefore suggested to him to discover Provence, an area dear to her heart and that of her family.
Neither, one, nor two at less than 6 months of the wedding, they needed help organizing their destination wedding.
The contact was great from the beginning between Stephany and I. A nice complicity was quickly created and it’s through skype that the totality of the organization was made.
A short weekend in France, time to visit several venues possible then the choice on the magnificent Castle of Robernier.
Castle which inspired Christopher for the creation of the invitations. He himself painted the facade of their venue. Isn’t it impressive?
The first idea of the wedding was to forcast everything outside, unfortunately at less than 6 months before the wedding, the date had to be fixed in relation to the availability of their place of reception favorite. So here we are at the end of September. The option of having dinner outside was a little bit compromised. Nevertheless, a maximum of moments would be expected outside, which delighted the bride and groom and their guests.
Stephany and Christopher wanted to organize a wedding in Provence over 3 days, as is often done at destination weddings. So we organized a small welcome cocktail reception on Friday, the day before the wedding in the pretty village of Cotignac. Cotignac wines, aperol spritz, champagnes, accompanied by French tapas. Moment of conviviality and meeting before the day D.
On Saturday morning, while the couple and guests are still resting, the super wedding team is already in action.
Delivery of the furniture, installation of the ceremony and the different scenographic spaces superbly created by Ghislaine from Déco and Harmonie, ect …
A photo booth space during the cocktail, the castle courtyard decorated with candles and garlands of light, here is a small preview of the result.
Late morning, arrival of the bride and groom and their families for the start of preparations and the installation in their rooms;)
The preparations took place in the room of the couple in a warm and relaxed atmosphere thanks to Clelia the super hairdresser / makeup artist.
For his part Christopher was a little bit more tense, but it was not counting on his friends to change his ideas. And for that, nothing better than a glass of wine between friends to relax the atmosphere;)
The guests arrive, it’s time for the groom to welcome them with a welcome drink and some delicacies set up and served by the caterer. The musicians start to play. Meanwhile, the bride finishes dressing.
Stephany is ready, before going down, it’s the meeting between her and her dad. A moment always very emotional for a dad.
Here we are, all ready to start the ceremony for this beautiful wedding in Provence. Superb ceremony with a lot of emotion and joy.
At the end of the ceremony, Stephany and Christopher wanted to take a few minutes for them, in lover, the time for me to distribute the small sachets of lavender to welcome our newlyweds in a rain of lavender seeds.
The cocktail was set up in the gardens in front of the Château’s orangery. Different culinary workshops delighted the entire guests. Live music, a photobooth space, in one word, a good friendly moment as imagined and wanted Stephany and Christopher.
Before the meal, everyone had the pleasure of crossing the castle by the main entrance for their greatest happiness, and then take a seat in the Ballroom which will host the reception dinner.
But before that, a little break is needed for the traditional throwing of the Bride bouquet that took place in the pretty courtyard of the castle.
Dinner was actually planned indoor and we did well because the rain arrived just at the time of entry into the reception room.
Everyone is sheltered, everything is fine, just a few small details to rearrange according to the weather, behind the scenes. Hence the need to have a wedding planner presents the D-Day for the coordination of the wedding.
The dinner is served, speeches follow each other, there is good music, great ambiance, lots of joy and good mood.
The rain stopped I make the decision to open the ball outdoors under a sky lit by light. The ambiance goes up a notch.
During this time the dessert buffet is installed in the Orangery of the Castle.
The dancing break is over, it’s time for everyone to discover the mounted piece and the various sweet workshops such the chocolate fountain and the ice bar.
People eat, drink, dance, chat, have fun simply, to the delight of our lovely couple.
Shuttles have been set up to bring all the guests back to their nearby accommodation, in complete security.
It’s time for everyone to rest a few hours before meeting for the Sunday morning Brunch.
I wish Stephany and Christopher a bright future and I thank them for choosing and trusting Alliance Rêvée for the organization of their wedding in Provence.
